Closing Market News November 20, 2007
SOARING
The Dow closed up 51.70 at 13,010.14 and the Nasdaq closed up 3.43 at 2596.81. Transports closed down 32.52 at 4425.45.
Total volume on the NYSE was above average trading 1.86 billion shares. Up/down volume was just a tad negative, Nasdaq up/down volume was 1.22 to 1 negative.
Dec. E-mini S&P Futures closed up 8.50 at 1446.00 and the Dec. Nasdaq 100 Futures closed up 7.50 at 2035.50. Dec. E-mini S&P Futures total volume was above average trading 2.96 million contracts. Dec. 20 Yr. T-Bond Futures closed down 0-09 at 115-30.
Jan. Oil Futures closed up 3.39 at 98.03 and Dec. Natural Gas Futures closed down .31 at 7.48.
Dec. Gold Futures closed up 13.50 at 791.50 and Dec. Silver Futures closed up 0.340 at 14.500.
Grains were higher with Dec. Wheat Futures closing up 17 ¼ cents at 7.73 ½, Jan Beans closed up 16 ½ cents at 10.87, and Dec. Corn closed up 3 ¾ cents at 3.81 ¼.
Dec. Live Cattle Futures closed up 1.125 at 96.300 and Jan Feeder Cattle closed up 0.775 at 109.600. Dec. Lean Hogs closed up 2.95 at 54.95.

I hope we have volatility like this into the end of the year and beyond because my trading strategies work very well during these times.
